Many DNP Paths to Reach Your Goal

This is not a one-size-fits-all Doctor of Nursing Practice degree program. In addition to the Traditional DNP pathway (with a choice of Advanced Practice or Leadership), we also offer an accelerated MSN to DNP pathway, a combined DNP with MBA in Health Care Administration, a Ph.D. to DNP pathway, and a combined post-masters Nurse Practitioner certificate and DNP degree in two specialties (Family and Psychiatric Mental Health). All are flexible, affordable and led by engaged practitioners.

The Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Wilmington University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

Cohorts begin three times per year in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.

  • Application Deadline for Spring Term Admission: October 1st or until cohort is filled
  • Application Deadline for Summer Term Admission: March 1st or until cohort is filled
  • Application Deadline for Fall Term Admission: June 15th or until cohort is filled

1500 hours for advanced practice nurses and 1,000 hours for nurse leaders. 2Advanced Practice nurses take 11 courses which can be completed in either 20 or 28 months. Nurse leaders take 15 courses which can be completed in 28 months.
